Books are bliss

So, got to wrap up the fifth of the "Wizard" books this weekend, and am greedy for more. Gosh, it's been ages since I've been able to glut on reading all weekend. Okay, more than just the weekend -- scanning documents on Friday left me with enough free time to read a lot at work.

Want to know what's really pathetic? I finished the second "Wizard" book just before lunch on Friday, and couldn't wait til I got home to start the third -- which I'd already checked out -- so I went down to the library and checked out another copy. Yup, I have two copies of "The Witch Doctor" sitting in my room at this moment, all because I couldn't wait five hours to start it. *broods over checking out some means of getting Book #6*

And work today will involve some actual work. Ah well.

I'll just sit here and laugh at the suckers headed back to school and you can bet that the tears coming from my eyes are NOT the result of a desire to join them, of course not, I'm not so dorky as to actually miss school and the school-supply shopping time of year and the thrill of opening brand new textbooks to appealling classes... excuse me, I'll just be going now.

The evillest thing you could do would be to remark upon the fact that I do NOT have 24-hour access to broadband and, in less than a month, my internet access will be restricted to what I can snatch from a computer lab or pay for at a net cafe.

Me, gloat? I'm just trying to find the silver lining here! *conveniently forgets that the reason she won't have much net access will be because she'll be in a city with much better things to do*
