No, really, your honest opinion
Nov. 5th, 2005 01:00 amI ran across something yesterday at a local coffee shop. You know those blackboards coffee shops use to advertise specials etc? Well, this one was advertising the new SUPER STAR DESTROYER drink, complete with rather elaborate illustrations.
GIVE IN TO THE DARK SIDE!
Try our SUPER STAR DESTROYER drink!
*elaborate pic of Star Destroyer takes up the better part of the next bit*
Our REDEYE (two shots of espresso) with a tempting swirl of white chocolate.
ONLY YOUR HATRED CAN DESTROY THIS DRINK.
*elaborate pic of Luke and Vader facing off takes up the bottom half of the board, w/ dialogue*
LUKE: I can feel the goodness in you, Father, the white chocolatey conflict!
VADER: There is no white chocolatey conflict!
...
...
...
So, in your honest opinion: Am I absolutely insane for collapsing in helpless giggles over this for, oh, five minutes or so, then bursting out afresh every time I thought of it for the rest of the night? I mean, even now -
*imagines James Earl Jones intoning the words "white chocolatey conflict"*
Hee. Perhaps I ought to go take care of that sleep deprivation thing. Nah, life is so much more amusing this way.
