Commencement
Jun. 1st, 2005 05:33 pmSchool is as over as over can be; it is time to admit to myself that my Real Life has commenced, and my post-graduation grace period is over. It is time to engage in the job hunt. Therefore, I'm working on my resume... which I will get done tonight, despite a little reluctant procrastination. (I'm wondering if I should switch over to my laptop. It's so much easier to type with one's hands at lap level rather than on a high desk. Nah.)
Right now I'm watching Return of the Jedi for the first time since seeing Revenge of the Sith. :) It's a reminder to be like Luke - boldly striding into the face of danger, and winning - rather than 3PO - nervously scuttling out of the way into still more problems. This is my very good reason for focusing far more on the movie than my resume, despite the fact that I made my sisters and cousins come up to the rec room to watch the film expressly for the purpose of computer access. I miss Yoda's sense of humor in ROTS. Hey, he just used a grammatical sentence: "Twilight is upon me, and soon, night must fall." I suspect that the ROTS Yoda would have said "Twilight upon me is, and fall night must soon." They needed a linguist there, if GL really wanted verisimilitudeand not just bright shiny new toys.
Meanwhile, there is far too little reading material online. Why has everyone been neglecting their blogs?
