For anyone curious, there's this thing that says "subject" on the composition page but then under it it says "event" and I notice suddenly that the "event" bit doesn't show up on the main screen. So for your information, this is news about an

Event:
Kirala realizes that the fact she has been falling behind in homework MAY have something to do with the fact that she tends to spend 5-6 hours a day online.

Accordingly, she makes a resolution: To do NOTHING internet-related (except check primary real-life related email address) until her homework for the day is done, and to do nothing besides simple routine surfing and IMing until all assignments for the week are done.

We shall watch the career of this resolution with great interest.

So far, it has either been broken for two hours or it hasn't begun. In the interests of optimism, Kirala chooses to acknowledge only the latter possibility.

Feeling very virtuous, she prepares to post this notice to her LJ and leave the 'net for a few hours at least, followed by a long-term curtailing of 'net time. She also plans to cease speaking in the third person at the same time, despite the fact that she is starting to have great fun with it. Okay, really now, in the interest of sanity, she is going to stop. Really.

5-6 hours a day is impressive. That would be pretty decent (though not wholly out of line) for a Case student, in fact, which is really saying something... Yeah, you'd just have to have a good grasp on the campus culture here.
